FEATURES OF THE COURSE
Currently the world is facing a variety of serious global issues such as poverty, education, environment, regional disputes, politics, economy, and health. As they are closely connected with each other, it is next to impossible to solve them independently. In particular most issues regarding global health are directly and fundamentally affecting the core of human life, which means they cannot be solved without considering the rest of the global issues. As a unique high school which is under the same educational foundation as Osaka Medical College, Takatsuki High School aims to nurture prospective global leaders who have a profound awareness of global health and want to commit themselves to various approaches to its improvement.

>>This course offers the students a curriculum which integrates subjects in the humanities and sciences until the end of the second year.
>>This course gets the students involved in special school subjects such as Global Research Project, Global Studies, and Global Communications offered in partnership with some Japan-based universities and business corporations which are at the front line of globalizing educational and business activities.
>>This course gives the students opportunities to make presentations of their research projects at an overseas study tour coordinated by Takatsuki High School and a prestigious overseas high school and to participate in an overseas field survey which Takatsuki High School is going to plan in concert with a Japan’s leading university like Kyoto University or Osaka University.

STUDENT LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Students who successfully complete this course will:

2.Understand fundamental problems regarding the current situation of global health.
3.Conduct an individual / group research project on a theme they have chosen.

Welcome to the Takatsuki’s Global Advanced course page. This course was established in April 2014 to start a new type of secondary education. Students in this course are encouraged to develop a variety of skills necessary for prospective global leaders as well as to study conventional school subjects. We believe that activating this course is essential in realizing our school mission: “Developing Future Leaders with A Global Mindset.” We earnestly desire that the students who have successfully completed this course will energetically endeavor to solve global issues and contribute to the enhancement of the global environment.
